eBook publishing or the tools I use to publish eInstructions

This will be a description of some of the tools I have gathered to publish my eBook. I guess its more of eInstructions. The instructions are for Box weave - chainmaille they can be found here Payloads.

This also brings me to the first point. A secure place to deliver your eBook! this is a must. I do recomend Payloadz just for the fact that thet will serve digital content like eBooks, video, audio excetera, for free to a certain point. Basically if your eBook dosen't sell or you don't have huge sales you don't have to pay to test the waters. They do have a dollar ammount they use as a cutoff between free and paid accounts. For recieving your payments you just connect Payloads to you paypal account. The pictures you use for the descriptions in payloadz have size limits. If you are fairly prepared it shouldn't take much more then 10 minutes to list an item. I am getting ahead of my-self.

Next you will want something to create a spiffy eCover for the shot of your book. Imangine I have a solution for that as well. My eCover Maker this is an online tool to create eCovers. They have a few free templates and several to chose from if you get a subscription. Very handy and you can create a cover in less then 5 minutes.

Now what about the book?? As for a word processor. I use MS Word xp I bought it a few years ago and have no reason to bother with anything else. However if you don't want to use MS products Open Office has a very good and free office suite. Of course you can use google doc's or any other office program out there as long as you can install a pdf program on to it.

So we have finished the writing and formatting. Have edited the book and we are ready to print. There are many file formats that can be used I am just going to talk about PDF's mostly because thats the only type I have worked with. We need a PDF creator now I recommend pdf995 it has a fully functional free with sponser message before printing or the paid version without messages at a affordable price. This tool is easy to use install it and it will show in your printer list. Click print it will then give you the option to name and save the pdf. There is a seperate editor to download to insert document properties into the pdf and create hyperlinks. Still it is very easy to use.

I hope you find this info useful. It is by no means a comprehensive list of tools It is just the list of tools that I use to publish PDF's.

Enjoy.
